Los Angeles Lift Chair Rentals

Brown leather recliner chair with a metal base, remote resting on the seat.

A lift chair — also called a power lift recliner — tilts forward to help you stand from a seated position, then reclines back for rest. Wishing Well Medical rents lift chairs by the month from our West Los Angeles showroom, so you can bring one home during recovery from surgery, a hospital stay, or a stretch of limited mobility without buying outright. Come sit in the chair before you rent it. Our staff will show you how the remote works and help you decide whether renting or buying makes more sense.

Our Rental Model: Pride Tranquil 2

Wishing Well Medical rents the Pride VivaLift! Tranquil 2 (PLR-935), a true-infinite position power lift recliner. True-infinite means the backrest, footrest, headrest, and lumbar support all move independently — you can keep your feet elevated while sitting upright, or recline flat with the headrest still supporting your neck. The Tranquil 2 also reclines far enough to raise your feet above your heart.

Other features worth knowing about:

  • 400 lb weight capacity — the highest capacity in the VivaLift! line
  • Power headrest and lumbar — both adjust from the hand remote, independent of the recline
  • Lithium battery backup — the chair still returns to a standing position during a power outage
  • USB charging port in the remote
  • Fully padded chaise — continuous support from seat through footrest, no gap behind the knees

Should You Rent or Buy a Lift Chair?

Rent when the need has an end date. Recovery from hip or knee replacement, a few months of post-surgical limited mobility, or a visiting family member who needs help getting up — those are rental situations. You get the chair in the house quickly and send it back when it is no longer needed.

Buy when the need is ongoing. If a lift chair is going to be someone’s daily chair for years, purchasing is the better value, and you get to choose the size, fabric, and color rather than taking what is in the rental fleet. Wishing Well Medical carries lift chairs and recliners for sale in our West Los Angeles showroom — see our lift chairs and recliners for sale.
