A transfer bench sits half inside the tub and half outside it so you can sit down on the outside edge, slide across, and bathe without stepping over the tub wall. This one holds 300 lbs, converts for left or right entry, and has a push-button removable back.
The seat extends across the tub wall with two legs inside the tub and two outside. The user sits on the outer portion, slides across, and is inside the tub at seat height without having to lift a leg over the edge. That step-over is where most bathroom falls happen, which is why a transfer bench exists in the first place.
The back detaches with a push button and reinstalls on either side, so the bench converts for a left-hand or right-hand tub entry. The seat is plastic with drainage holes so water doesn’t pool on it. Fixed arms on both sides give the user something to push off of when standing.
Height adjusts from 25.5 to 29.5 inches at the handle, fitting standard tub heights. The inside legs have extra-wide suction-base rubber tips to grip the tub floor. The frame is aluminum, and the whole unit weighs 9.4 pounds. Latex free.
