A top-of-the-line power lift recliner with true-infinite positioning, three-zone heat, air-bladder massage, and a tilt mechanism that raises the front of the seat as the chair reclines. Available in three sizes matched to user height, with a 400 lb capacity.
A lift chair’s core function is stand assist — the base powers upward and forward to bring the user to their feet, and lowers them into the seat on the way down. The Ultra does that, and then adds nearly every feature available on a power recliner.
Most lift chairs are 2-position or 3-position, meaning the backrest and footrest move together through a fixed set of stops. True-infinite positioning moves them independently, so the backrest angle and the footrest height are set separately and the chair can go fully flat. The headrest and lumbar are powered separately as well.
On a conventional recliner the frame pivots at the base of the backrest and the top of the footrest. This chair pivots from the rear of the frame instead, which raises the front of the seat as the back goes down — closer to how a rocking chair moves. The result is a reclined position with the knees higher than the chest.
Three heating pads are built into the shoulders, lumbar, and seat, each with three levels. The massage system uses an air bladder at the lower back with three intensity settings. Both sets of controls sit on the inside of the armrest rather than on the remote, so they’re reachable without hunting for the handset.
Three sizes, matched to user height. Sizing a lift chair correctly matters more than on ordinary furniture — the seat-to-floor height determines whether the user’s feet rest flat with knees at roughly 90 degrees, and seat depth determines whether the back is supported. Come sit in them.
