The Hoyer Classic Deluxe Power Lifter is a battery-powered patient lift rated for 400 pounds. A hand pendant raises and lowers the boom through a single-speed electric actuator. The six-point cradle spreads its outer attachment points to the ends of the bar, holding the sling in a wide U rather than a narrow V.

Description

Electric Patient Lift for Home and Facility Transfers

The HPL402 is a full-size floor lift used to move a person between a bed, wheelchair, chair, commode, or the floor. Lifting and lowering are powered by a rechargeable battery and controlled from a hand pendant. The actuator is reverse-mounted, positioning it behind the mast rather than in front of it.

The lift is certified to ISO 10535, the international standard for hoists used to transfer disabled persons.

Lift Range and Weight Capacity

The HPL402 has a safe working load of 400 pounds. The boom travels from 29 inches to 76 inches. Floor pickup is within the rated range of the lift.

Battery, Charging, and Emergency Lowering

The lift runs on gel cell batteries. An audible alarm sounds when battery charge is low. Full charge takes approximately six hours.

Two manual overrides are built into the unit. A mechanical down-release lever lowers the boom without power. An emergency stop button cuts power to the actuator.

Six-Point Cradle and Sling Compatibility

The HPL402 uses a six-point non-sway cradle. It accepts four-point slings, six-point slings, and chain-style slings. Slings are sold separately and are selected by cradle type, patient weight, and transfer application. Bring measurements or call before ordering a sling.

Adjustable U-Base, Casters, and Clearance

The base adjusts from 24 inches closed to 40.5 inches open. Closed, the base passes through standard interior doorways. Open, it positions around commodes, wheelchairs, and armchairs. Base length is 43.5 inches and base height is 4.88 inches.

The lift rolls on dual casters at all four corners. Leg guards and caster bumpers are fitted to the base. Ergonomic handles are mounted at the rear of the mast.

Electric or Hydraulic Patient Lift: Choosing Between the Classic Models

Wishing Well Medical carries both Classic models. The HPL402 lifts on battery power from a hand pendant. The HML400 lifts on a hydraulic hand pump and requires no battery or outlet.

Two differences separate them beyond the power source. The HML400 disassembles into mast and base for storage or transport in a vehicle. The HPL402 does not. The HML400 carries a six-point cradle rated for four-point and chain-style slings; the HPL402 cradle additionally accepts six-point slings.
