The Prestige Medical Clinical Lite is a classic dual-head stethoscope that weighs under 4 ounces. The chestpiece is anodized aluminum; it is latex-free, and it carries a lifetime warranty with free replacement parts. A light, dependable, affordable basic for students and everyday clinical use.
At about 3.9 ounces, the Clinical Lite is the lightest stethoscope in the Prestige clinical line. The anodized aluminum chestpiece keeps the weight down without sacrificing durability. Weight matters for anyone wearing a stethoscope around their neck through a full shift or a long clinical day.
The chestpiece has two sides. The fiberglass diaphragm side picks up higher-frequency sounds — S1 and S2 heart sounds, and Korotkoff sounds for blood pressure. The bell side is shaped for lower-frequency S3 and S4 sounds. A snap-on retaining ring holds the diaphragm, and a non-chill ring on the bell keeps cold metal off the patient’s skin.
Extra-thick-walled PVC tubing carries the sound. All parts are latex-free. The stethoscope ships with two sizes of soft eartips, a replacement diaphragm, and an ID tag, and it carries a lifetime warranty with free lifetime replacement parts — the wear items can be replaced instead of buying a new instrument.
The Clinical Lite is the lightest and simplest stethoscope we carry. It is a fixed dual-head — lighter than the Sprague Rappaport but without the Sprague’s five-in-one interchangeable parts. Compared to a Littmann, it has a traditional design without a tunable diaphragm and costs less. For a student, an EMT, or anyone who wants a light, dependable basic model and doesn’t need a tunable or interchangeable system, the Clinical Lite is the practical entry point. For greater acoustic detail, the Littmann Classic III or Cardiology IV are the step up.
