Hot Rod Rollator

Available in store. Call for pricing.

A four-wheel rollator with 10-inch front wheels, an adjustable backrest, and a padded seat. The larger wheels roll over sidewalk seams and uneven pavement that smaller casters can’t, making this a better fit for regular outdoor use than a standard compact rollator.

  • 10″ front wheels, indoor and outdoor
  • Backrest adjusts 4″ in height, 1.5″ in depth
  • 300 lb capacity, 17 lb aluminum frame
  • Folds and locks closed with a clamp
  • Removable tote bag included
  • Matte blue or matte red
Description

Most rollators are designed for hallways. The Hot Rod is designed for the block. Its 10-inch front wheels are nearly double the diameter of the small casters on a standard rollator, which is the difference between rolling over a raised sidewalk seam and getting stopped by it. If the person using it wants to walk to the corner store, get to the farmers market, or cover any ground that isn’t polished tile, this is the frame that does it.

Big Wheels, Real Sidewalks

The chrome 10-inch front wheels handle pavement joints, driveway aprons, gravel, and grass. Smaller wheels catch on all of those. The trade-off is a slightly larger footprint, so if the rollator will live mostly indoors in a tight apartment, a compact model may suit better — worth trying both in the showroom before you decide.

Adjustable Backrest and Handles

The backrest adjusts four inches in height and one and a half inches in depth, so it can be set to actually support the user’s back rather than hitting them in the wrong place. Handle height adjusts from 32 to 35.5 inches. Set correctly, the handles should sit at wrist height when the user stands upright with arms relaxed at their sides — our staff will set this for you before the rollator leaves the store.

Cross-Brace Frame

The aluminum frame uses a cross-brace design, which resists side-to-side flex when the user leans on one handle or pushes up from the seat. The whole unit weighs 17 pounds and supports up to 300 pounds.

Folds and Stays Folded

Pull up on the seat strap and the frame collapses. A clamp lock then holds it closed, so it doesn’t spring open while you’re carrying it to the car or wrestling it into a trunk — a small feature that matters every single time you use it.

Removable Tote Bag

A large tote bag is included and comes off completely. That means you can carry it into a store and back out without unloading it into a plastic bag first, which is more than you can say for a sewn-in under-seat pouch.

Available in Matte Blue or Matte Red

Both colorways are stocked. The finish is matte rather than glossy, which hides scuffs better over the life of the rollator.
