Wishing Well Medical carries Littmann stethoscopes at our West Los Angeles showroom. You can hold them, compare the weight, and try the fit before you buy — something you can’t do ordering online. We stock three models that cover most needs, from a first stethoscope for nursing school to a diagnostic instrument for critical care.
Littmann is the standard stethoscope brand in most nursing and medical programs, and most clinicians carry it throughout their careers. Every current model uses a tunable diaphragm—you change the frequency you hear by pressing the chestpiece harder, instead of flipping it over. All are made in the USA and are latex-free. The models differ in acoustic performance, chestpiece design, and warranty length.
We also carry two Prestige Medical stethoscopes for anyone shopping outside the Littmann line. The Sprague Rappaport is a traditional dual-head stethoscope with interchangeable chestpieces, and the Clinical Lite is a lightweight everyday option. Both are dependable instruments at a lower price point, and a practical starting choice for students and anyone who doesn’t need a brand-name diagnostic stethoscope.

The three models form a ladder. Pick based on what you’ll actually use it for.
Lightweight II SE — the entry model. The lightest adult Littmann, built for blood pressure readings and routine physical assessment. The right first stethoscope for nursing students, CNAs, LPNs, medical assistants, and EMTs who need a dependable, affordable instrument.
Classic III — the workhorse. A dual-sided chestpiece with a full adult and pediatric side and higher acoustic sensitivity than the Lightweight. The most popular Littmann among nurses and students, and the standard choice for general practice in non-critical settings.
Cardiology IV — the diagnostic instrument. The high-performance model, with dual-lumen tubing and the best acoustic detail in the line, for adult and pediatric patients. Built for physicians, nurse practitioners, and critical-care and cardiac nurses, and a common one-and-done choice for students who want a career stethoscope right out of the gate.
For detailed auscultation in emergency, ICU, and cardiology settings, the Cardiology IV is the model to look at. Its dual-lumen tubing and tunable diaphragms on both the adult and pediatric sides deliver the acoustic detail those settings require.
For nursing school and general floor work, most people land on the Classic III or, on a tighter budget, the Lightweight II SE.
